Nice vs Lazio: Preview and Predictions

Nice and Lazio are set to determine the Group K winner in back-to-back fixtures to be played within the following two weeks.

The first one is scheduled for this Thursday at Allianz Riviera where Nice will try and bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 loss away at Montpellier in the ninth round of Ligue 1.

Nice

Les Aiglons have been playing hot and cold since the start of the season which is why they hold the disappointing 14th position after nine rounds of the competition in the domestic league.

Lucien Favre’s men have been quite easy to break down in the recent weeks having allowed as many as eight goals in last three league outings with Angers, Marseille and Montpellier.

Luckily for the Swiss manager, this has not quite been the case with Nice’s displays in Europa League where Les Aiglons demolished both Zulte-Waregem and Vitesse in opening two fixtures.

Lazio

Biancocelestio have not been so dominant in their Europa League wins, but they will come into the game in much higher spirits following a massive three-pointer from Alli8anz Stadium in Turin.

Simone Inzaghi’s men backed up the fine form in the recent weeks to see off the defending champions Juventus away from home and climb up to the third position in the Serie A standings.
Nice vs Lazio: Head to head

Nice and Lazio have not previously had the chance to play each other in an official match.

Lazio came on top in the lone previous meeting which came as a pre-season friendly back in 2013.
Nice vs Lazio: Prediction

Both teams have pretty strong options in the final third in the likes of Alassane Plea & Mario Balotelli on one and Ciro Immobile on the other side.

Given tboth Nice’s and Lazio’s attacking style of football, we just can’t see a low-scoring affair which is why the best of the betting options would clearly be BTTS at 7/10.
Nice vs Lazio: Bets

The main betting option is BTTS at the odds of 7/10.

You can alternatively try with Alassane Plea to score anytime at 8/5.

Cyprus vs Greece: Preview and Predictions

Cyprus helped Greece a lot by beating Bosnia-Herzegovina in a five-goal thriller in September to leave their neighbors in the battle for the second position and the playoffs.
Can they now help the Bosnians by doing the same against Ethniki on Saturday evening at Neo GSP?

Cyprus

Israeli manager Ran Ber Shimon could have hardly imagined a better start to his reign as the head coach of the Cypriot national squad as his men managed a phenomenal comeback from being two goals down to winning the match against the likes of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Cyprus could have easily joined the battle for the second position with the potential victory over Estonia in the following round, but they fell under the pressure losing 1-0 at the end.

Greece

Michael Skibbe’s men are winless in last six matches, but they are miraculously still in the contest for the second position.

As the matter of fact, Ethniki have realistic chances of catching the much-wanted playoffs spots since Bosnia-Herzegovina must play Belgium on the same day of their visit to Cyprus.
Cyprus vs Greece: Head to head

Cyprus have managed to be a threat for the Greeks only on rare occasions as they have two wins and 12 losses in 13 matches against their neighbours.

Greece picked up four straight wins in H2H meetings with Cyprus including the one from this qualifying term with goals from Kostas Mitroglou and Petros Mandalos.
Cyprus vs Greece: Prediction

This is the last opportunity for Greece and they just can’t mess it up. We’ll go with the visitors who traditionally did not have many troubles with their neighbours.
Cyprus vs Greece: Bets

The top bet will be Greece to win the match at the odds of 1/2

You can have Kostas Mitroglou to score anytime at 11/8

Scotland vs Slovakia: Preview and Predictions

Scotland and Slovakia are set to take on each other in the crucial battle for the top two spots in the Group F on Thursday evening at Hampden Park.
The visitors are in a somewhat better position being a single point above in the standings and they would be happy with the draw having an easy home fixture with Malta in the last round of the campaign in mind.

Scotland

Nobody saw the Tartan Terriers in the contest for the top two positions after a poor kick off to the campaign in the Group F, but they managed to take ten points in last four matches to get only a single-point behind Slovakia in the second place.

Gordon Strachan can be thrilled with Leigh Griffiths’ form as Scottish top scorer in this term has notched two goals in last three games for his Celtic.

Also, Scotland have produced a phenomenal defense lately keeping three clean sheets in last four matches.

Slovakia

Jan Kozak can also be satisfied with his team’s form as Slovakia claimed three straight wins before the last round’s loss to England at Wembley.

The Slovakians were off to a dream start when Lobotka opened the scoring in the third minute of the match with The Three Lions, but they could not hold on to it as Dier and Rashford created a comeback for Southgate’s team.
Scotland vs Slovakia: Head to head

Slovakia picked up a comprehensive 3-0 victory back in October last year when the two sides played their lone head to head encounter in history.

PAOK’s Robert Mak bagged a brace while Adam Nemec set the final score netting the third goal.
Scotland vs Slovakia: Prediction

Neither of two managers is going to take risks here, especially Kozak whose side would make a major step towards the top two finish with a draw at Hampden Park.

This is why we see the Under 2.5 goals FT as the best of the betting options here.
Scotland vs Slovakia: Bets

The first bet is Under 2.5 goals FT at the odds of 8/13

Slovan Bratislava vs Lyngby

In all honesty Danish Lyngby didn't impress against Welsh semi-professional Bangor City in the first round, especially in the first leg they had some problems but however eventually ended up reaching the second round of the Europa League with 4-0 on aggregate. Although I have some respect for Scandinavian teams in Europe, and then especially Danish teams this looks like a fairly tough task for Lyngby who surprised plenty of people in the danish Superliga last season and ended up third. Their league season starts now this weekend compared to the slovak league which starts a week later.

Slovan Bratislava had no problems reaching this second round after totally 9-1 on aggregate against Armenian Pyunik Yerevan, solid performance and there were never any problems or issues regarding their performance over the two legs. Lyngby obviously a better team than Pyunik Yerevan, but I think they are up for a tough battle here as Slovan Bratislava impressed in the previous round, and have some quite good players in their ranks that could make the difference, I expect a rather tough match here for the Danish side and have no problems giving Slovan Bratislava 53-55% chance here for a win. 2,10 seems quite ok. Good luck!

AS Roma vs Lazio: Preview and Predictions

Monaco vs Lille-Coupe de France-Match Preview-4th April 2017

Monaco vs Lille
Coupe de France
Date: Tuesday, 4th April 2017
Kick-off at 20:00 UK / 21:00 CET
Venue: Stade Louis II (Monaco).

Monaco were thrashed 4-1 by PSG in the Coupe de la Ligue final on Saturday in a match they were considered equal favourites. This put an end to their 6 match winning run in all competitions and somewhat damaged the team morale.

However, Monaco’s scoring form coming into this match is excellent. Before Saturday’s defeat, they scored 20 goals in 7 matches. And they are also the highest scoring team in Ligue 1 with 87 goals to their name in 30 matches so far. For Jardim, this is an important fixture to guide the team to winning ways to bring back some confidence as the Ligue 1 title race is on a crucial side.

Lille had somewhat steadied their ship after going through a difficult phase at the start of the season. At one point, they were close to the relegation zone, but a series of positive results pushed them up to 13th in the league table. They are currently unbeaten in the last five matches in all competitions, with 3 wins and 2 draws.
Monaco vs Lille: Head-to-head

The h2h is pretty even from the last 7 meetings and the teams share 2 wins and 3 draws.

The most recent meeting between the two sides is won by Monaco on a comfortable 4-1 margin, away at Lille on September 2016.

Lille haven’t won in their last four visits to Monaco, but they lost only once with three matches being draws.

Only one of the last six matches between these two at Monaco has seen over 2.5 goals.
Monaco vs Lille: Prediction

This must be a straight forward win for Monaco with the players eager to bounce back from a humiliating defeat to one of their biggest rivals in the league. Lille have done fairly well in their recent outings, but they are no match for a free scoring Monaco.
Monaco vs Lille: Bet Tips

Monaco to win at Over 2.5 goals priced at 2.05 odds

Swansea Vs Chelsea

Swansea host high flying Chelsea for Match day 4 of 2016/2017 English Premier League Season.
Swansea City started the season with an away victory at the Toor moor stadium, but failed to win their next 2 league games. The Welsh side lost in their first home game of the season. Francesco Guidolin led side lost 2-0 to newly promoted Hull City in their league appearance at the Liberty Stadium. Subsequently, the Swans visited the defending champions for Match day 3, and succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the king power stadium.
Chelsea football club is in search of its 4th consecutive league win, and its 5th consecutive win in a competitive game. The blues produced a sumptuous show in their last game before the international break by thrashing new boys with a 3-0 scoreline. Conte’s boys have failed to drop a point since the beginning of the new campaign.

Swansea Vs Chelsea: Key Facts

  • Swansea maintains 2 league games losing streak. In addition, Swansea failed to win in their first and only league game at home so far this season.
  • Chelsea maintains 3 league games winning streak. Moreover, the blues gathered maximum point in their first and only league game away so far this season.

Swansea: Team News

Francesco Guidolin could still without the services of new boy Borja Baston. The 24 years old Spanish forward moved to the Selsh side from Atletico Madrid, and failed to featire in any of their games due to a muscle injury.

Swansea: Predicted Line-Up (4-2-3-1)

Fabianski: Naughton, Fernandez, Amat, Kingsley: Fer, Cork: Barrow, Sigurdsson, Routledge: Llorente

Chelsea: Team News

Chelsea will still be without the services of the young and tenacious Kurt Zouma. However, the French international is reported to be nearing resumption to active action after a long lengthy battle with ligament injury.

Chelsea: Predicted Line-Up (4-1-4-1)

Thibaut: Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta: Kante- Matic Oscar, Willian, Hazard: Costa

Swansea Vs Chelsea: Head to Head

Last season, Swansea enjoyed their first victory in 10 league clashes with Chelsea. Sigurdsson 25th minute volley gave Swansea 1-0 victory over then Guus Hiddink tutored Chelsea.
However, Chelsea commands 6 victories in the last 10 games with Swansea, compared to Swansea 1.

Swansea Vs Chelsea: Prediction

Considering both sides form coming into the season, it will be pleasant if any one predict a straight win for the blues.
Chelsea has showed great to back up their claim for a possible challenge. However, Swansea will be having the 12th man to their advantage considering the fact they will playing at home.
Regardless, I will predict a win for the Blues with a little chance of both sides sharing points.

Swansea vs Chelsea: Betting Tips

Over 2.5 goals at 4/5 (1.80)
Chelsea to win at 4/6 (1.66).

Bologna vs Cagliari

So what Bologna will Rossoblu fans see this Sunday? The team that ground out a 1-0 win over freshly promoted Crotone? Or the side that were humiliated 5-1 by a rampant Torino? Or an entirely new side altogether, refreshed after the international hiatus?
Their upcoming opponents, Cagliari, haven’t fared that much better since making their return to Serie A this season. Still, there may be signs of improvement. After losing 3-1 to Genoa, Massimo Rastelli’s men managed to claw their way back from 2-0 down to pick up a point against Roma.
The loss of first-choice shot-stopper Antonio Mirante (heart issue) for the indeterminable future naturally has impacted Bologna, who had to secure young Senegalese goalkeeper Alfred Gomis on an emergency signing from Torino.
Meanwhile, Cagliari, back in the top flight after winning Serie B, have attempted to fortify their squad with some interesting signings. Marco Borriello, who has acquired the reputation of a footballing nomad, has started off well at his new club. The veteran striker has six in all comps – including a poker during a Coppa Italia win on his debut – and scored the opener during the team’s comeback against Roma.

Bologna vs Cagliari: Head-to-head statistics

  • The past five games between Bologna and Cagliari have seen one team fail to find the back of the net.
  • Bologna have outscored Cagliari by 8-1 in those five matches.
  • Historically, this is a pretty evenly spread fixture, with 17 wins for each side and 18 draws. Both teams have also scored 58 goals during that period.
  • Only 37 per cent of Bologna’s home games last season resulted in over 2.5 goals. The league average was 47 per cent.

Bologna vs Cagliari: Prediction

If you are expecting a glut of goals in this all Rossoblu derby, think again. Bologna are a notoriously low-scoring side; last season saw them net a miserly 33 goals in 38 games. That comes out to an average of 0.87 goals per match. The league average was 1.29. At home this breaks down to 1.05 per game (versus 1.47 for the league). And out of their 20 wins and draws, they only scored more than one goal in seven matches.
Meanwhile, Cagliari were rarely shut out last campaign, with only six out of their 42 matches (all losses) seeing them fail to find the back of the net. On the road, they averaged 1.52 goals per game (versus the league average of 0.97).
Both teams also have very suspect defenses, having conceded five already. All in all, this looks like a case of both sides cancelling other out to result in a one-all stalemate.

Bologna vs Cagliari: Betting tips

Bologna-Cagliari draw at 23/10 (3.3)
Low-scoring stalemate at 5/1 (6.0)
Under 2.5 goals at 4/6 (1.67).
